luvmymushpups
I found this along the yukon river in central alaska. where the river flooded and cut the bank away. It was found next to a vertabrae and at first i thought it was a broken chip. it is very rock like but obviously shaped like a bone. what bone is is?

Brandy Cole
I've never seen a moose calcaneum that I could use as an example, but it does appear to be a large artiodactyl calcaneum. If moose are common in your area, that would be my pick for most likely suspect. Cervids seem to have a particularly pointy cuboid like your example.
Rockwood
I don't have any moose bones for reference now, but if this is truly rock hard, I think the range of possibilities could be much greater than the animals most common there now.
