Bguild
Hi There - I came across this nice looking dino bone identified as "The top section of a pubis bone from a Dromaeosaurid." This bone was found in the Hell Creek Formation in South Dakota. It looks like a nice piece with minor repair, but I wanted to get some second opinions on whether this is a piece of a pubis bone, or possibly a chevron... or something else. I'm also curious if folks agree with the the ID of dromaeosaurid (unable to ID beyond the family). What do you think? Thanks! Edited September 18 by Bguild
Daze
It definitely looks like a chevron to me, I don't see a fit with any pubis bones I've seen. Unfortunately I can't tell you if it's dromaeosaurid. For comparison, I recently posted this Edmontosaurus chevron: Edited September 18 by Daze 1

Thanks, I was thinking it looked more like a chevron as well! Given the size (~6.1 inches), I wouldn't think it's dromeosaurid. Edited September 18 by Bguild
