While you're in town for fossil fest, travel about 10 minutes down the road to see DinoQuest or Dino Nites at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo.

The Lowry Park Zoo is about to get a Jurassic perk: a special exhibit of lifelike and life-size dinosaurs in a dynamic outdoor display. You'll find the treacherous Tyrannosaurus, the towering Brachiosaurus and hear them roar, blink and one of them even spits water as you wind down a lush pathway.
It runs Feb. 9 through May 1. The price is $4, plus Zoo admission.
There will also be an after-dark attraction called DinoNites and get in at night for a few hours. DinoNites begins Feb. 11 and occurs every Friday and Saturday night from 6:30-9:30 p.m. through April 30, with the exception of April 16 which is Karamu, the Zoo’s annual gala.
And while it's here, there will be dinosaur-themed birthday parties, sleepovers, scout workshops and more. An unlimited-access DinoDiscovery Club Pass will also be offered for dino-nutty families for $16 per person.
