The GEOSKOP Museum of Prehistory offers general tours and specialist tours of the permanent exhibition and the current special exhibition.
Guided tours of the permanent exhibition
A guided tour of the permanent exhibition provides a lively insight into the landscape and wildlife of the Urpfalz region. The destination of this imaginary journey into the pre-dinosaur era is a tropical mountain valley on the equator with many extraordinary plants and animals. Background stories on particularly interesting exhibits provide insight into the nature and purpose of geological research. On request, visitors can also visit the museum's preparation workshop and watch a demonstration of how fossils are uncovered.
Special themed tours, e.g. on evolution, early quadrupeds, or sharks, are available on request.
