Jianghanichthys - Chan-Han fish fossil
Jianhanichthys sp. also known as Osteohilus sp. or "Chan Han Fish"
Pliocene,
Yichuang, Hubei Province, China
Gift from my wife a few years ago - this fish is only about 2 inches long.
This fossil has quite obviously been "enhanced".
You can clearly see that someone used ink to outline the fish, and to extend the broken lower caudal fin.
Neat specimen, regardless - mostly bones instead of scales, like many of the others I've seen online.
