Mioplosus labracoides
Partial specimen of the perch-like predator Mioplosus labracoides. Roughly the middle third of the fish is present and the head would be to the right. The soft and spiny dorsal fins are partially preserved along the top (dorsal) edge. The anal fin is present and well preserved on the bottom-left. There is a coprolite present at the bottom middle, which is appropriately positioned to have come from this fish. Under magnification there are small pieces of bone in the coprolite, which may be consistent with the fish being a predator.
