A Stethacanthus sp. tooth from a popular locality near Brownwood, Texas.

This tooth was an interesting prep. I used a combination of acid prep (didn't really work; matrix has a high silica content I think), air abrasion with iron powder, and careful by-hand work with a surgical needle. Patience was key to prevent blowing this tooth to pieces.
