Ludwigia haugi (Douvillé,1885)

Ludwigia haugi (Douvillé,1885)

9cm. I found this one very early in my collecting "career" and botched the hand preparation somewhat - there are lots of scratches on it - but I've kept it all this time since it's somewhat of a rarity for these parts. Also the glimpse in the chambers is nice.

Found  in the Wutach Valley in the Staufensis Bank of the Upper Aalenian, Middle Jurassic.

Interesting thought, but no. The shell was there as I dug the Ammo out, but it broke off and disappeared in the depths during the ensueing battle with the stone.
