From the album: Hell Creek / Lance Formations
This kind of incisor-like ("incisorform") tooth was originally thought to have belonged to a large, Cretaceous mammal. Later discoveries revealed that these teeth were actually the front teeth ("premaxillary teeth") of Tyrannosaurs - and are now known as a hallmark of their clade, Tyrannosauroidea. Closely-spaced, parallel grooves on bones suggest that Tyrannosaurs used these teeth to scrape meat from bone. Given the size, this is from a very young animal. Should Nanotyrannus be valid, then this should be considered an indeterminate Tyrannosaurid. -

Aublysodon teeth are really Daspletosaurus and T-rex

I was searching the internet earlier today and found out that all Aublysodon teeth where that of Tyrannosaurinae juveniles. From Two medicine formation Daspletosaurus horneri, from Judith river formation and Dinosaur park formation Daspletosaurus sp., and from Hell creek and Lance formations T-rex, and so on... The study was done by Dr. Phil Currie, hope this helps with teeth like this!! -
I see a tooth being sold as Aublysodon and the seller also states it could be another juvenile tyrannosaurid My understanding is that this is not a valid species correct. Tooth is around 1/2 "
