    Dinosaur Coprolite?

I got this from an auction, seemingly legitimate seller, claims its dinosaur coprolite from Madagascar, I've gotten mixed opinions on whether it's real dino or if it's turtle coprolite. This is my first coprolite so I'm not too sure on what to look for in dinosaur coprolite.

    Raptor claw? Or croc?

Hello, Found an online sale of an indet. Raptor claw, see the link below. edit: it is something that somebody else has for sale and I decided not to purchase it. Found it unfair to have it listed here as potential fake without any clear answer. Therefore I deleted the photo’s, best answer is a link to similar fossils, so thats the informative value of this post.

    Supposedly Spinosaur bones from Morocco

Kem kem bones, supposedly Spinosaur Hello all, i recently got two bones that come from Morrocco, kem kem formation, suposedly belonging to a Spinosaur. They seem quite peculiar and could actually come from anything. Attached are some photo’s, does anyone have an idea what it could be?
  5. Could these have come from the same animal?

    Dino Egg or Concretion?

I have received conflicting responses from numerous geologists on my find. Even had one geologist remark that my find was a fake, which I can assure is not. Found in dry riverbed off mountain road in Portola Valley, California. Any advice or suggestions on identification is truly appreciated.

    Suposedly a dinosaur bone

I have this bone, that came in a box full of other bones. This one seems much older and was sold to me as a suposedly dino bone, but seller wasnt sure. Bit of a mystery that I am trying to solve. Maybe someone can help me with this? I will clarify some things-: • this specific bone seems more petrified that the other bones in the box. Those are pleistocene, but this specific bone is heavier and seems much older. More like solid rock. • the bones were gifted to an artist that wanted to make something of it, eventually this artist decided to use different things things for that and put this box up on a local online thriftstore (Marktplaats) for a small amount of money. I bought it, she told me that she was told by who gifted it that it might contain dinosaur bones. She didnt have any other information. • im looking for bones that have a somewhat similar shape, like a crocodile leg bone, smaller theropod bones, a collar bone, anything that might put me in the right direction. • commonly, dinosaur or reptile related bones for sale in The Netherlands come from either Germany, France or Morocco. Statistically speaking, those type locations could be close to its origin. • yes, I am aware this isnt much to go on, and that I will still have quite some work to determine this further. Thanks in advance

    Fossil or not?

My grandad found this in central Montana years ago and never knew what it was. It holds very special value to me and I just want help in identifying what it actually is. Seems to be more than a really cool rock. Please help!

    Is this a fossil?

Can anyone tell me what I'm looking at here? Been rock hunting in wyoming. I had gathered a bunch of rocks up for a project I've been working on. This particular rock must have broke open on the drive home and it looks like the head of something is sticking out. The "eye" is a perfect circle and there appears to be little teeth where the mouth would be. I may have taken a file to the surrounding area (probably a bad idea) and looks like it could be the critters body? Curiosity got me. Could it maybe be a dinosaur that was about to hatch or something?

    Eggshell?

Hi All, I snagged these two eggshell fragments from the Two Medicine formation in Browning, Montana. Do they pass the eggshell test? If so, from what? (My hope was Troodon, when I saw them.) Thanks!! #1 #2
  14. Dear All I've discovered the following which I believe is a tail vertebra approximately 100 m west of Brook chine, Isle of Wright, UK. Is there any of you who can narrow down what it is specifically e.g. animal and body part. I froze my off for four hours in downpouring rain with bone-chilling winds with all my clothing 110% soaked (only gonna make the mistake of forgetting rain clothing and wellingtons once) in the hunt for this one so I praise myself quite lucky for finding this and not catching a cold . When I went to the local pub afterwards my hands were that numb that I couldn't even lift my glass of soda, had to use both hands!

    Dino bone or not?

Tumbled and grinded and cut some of these pieces. any of em bone or just p wood or rock ? pics 1-7? first few almost positive Dino bone other have no idea. They seem to almost solid iron ore like but not magnetic hematite and pyrite consistency.
  16. Need help on this one. This peace was given to a relative and he search it on and find out it may be a fossil. His grandfather find it and convert it to a lamp :/ . It looks like a family of Psittacosaurus. It seems there has been findings of similar dinosaurs in Mexico.
  17. Hi guys, I just received a tip of a tooth from Gansu, China, and I now wondering if is from a dinosaur or a smilodon. Thank you so much for your time and wish you a nice day :)

    Fossil id please

I found this digging a hole in my yard in Cedar Park and would like some help figuring out if it is what it looks like which would it looks like to me is a bone .This is my very first form to ever join, please let me know if I need to post in a different manner.
  19. I am not experienced in this at all and just looking for a quick opinion. There is an engraved date on bottom(1947) , would that mean it’s manufactured or do collectors date eggs when discovered? Thanks!

    Egg

  21. Hi all, observed a few fossils in Horsethief Canyon on a hike the other day, not sure what they are. One looks like a long bone, and the other maybe a squished skull with some other bones mashed in? Using my technically advanced shoe as a reference, long bone was maybe 25cm long, 10cm at widest, "skull" was maybe 25cm across at widest point. I know its hard to tell, but I'm new so not sure what layer I was in, but my watch said ~730m elevation if that means anything to anyone for the locality. A couple photos of two fossilized stumps and a shot of the Canyon for a bonus. Was a super fun day hiking around, thanks for your input! ****edit**** first pic displayed is the underside of the long bone, last is the top of it.....

    Fossil bone?

Found this in the Coleraine formation of northern Minnesota, it appears to be bone, possibly a part of an arm or leg, any guesses to what it may be? (I’ve already contacted a paleontologist but I thought I’d ask here, too. Also any tips of removing iron off of fossils? Many of the fossils here are within iron stones and i don’t know how to safely remove most of it.)

    Dino bone?

While on vacation in Utah USA, a family member bought some fossils in a shop that were supposed to be dinosaur bone. Unfortunately, she has not received any further information with the documents. I got them and would like to know if the story is true. Is there anything more to say about these pieces? They go to a primary school when it comes to dino material so any bit of information would be nice for the kids. Scale in centimeters. Bone? 1
