I found this tooth in Nanjemoy, Md. Although very small, it has the exact shape as my much bigger Ododus teeth. Is this a baby Otodus tooth?

Hi!! I'm Kimi, just a girl who loves ALL things Nature. I'm especially drawn to rocks/ fossils, plants, and insects. Sometimes I think the rocks and fossils are even drawn to me! With gratitude and reverence, I can also say that most plants are dear Allies to me, and always show me great patience as I continue to learn and grow.🌱✨️ That being said, Nature continuously offers us new opportunities to learn and grow, no matter where we are on our journey. Although my son will tell you this about me, "she always THINKS she found a fossil", he is never convinced. Me, being a novice to fossils, would love to better my understanding of these ancient treasures. So, without further ado, here are the first four finds that I am curious about......🥁 I know the one is definitely an ocean type fossil, just not sure what, but are the other three just cool rocks? Idk.... I reside in Arizona now (Michigan native), which is where these were found, AZ. I find rocks all over the state, but the main places would be locally (around the valley), Superstition area, Tucson area, Stafford, Christopher Creek, Sedona, and Flagstaff. There are so many more that I have questions about too, but maybe by posting a few at a time, I can begin to discern for myself which ones have potential. At least that is my aspiration. I have sometimes asked for ID assistance on what turned out to be rocks, so my expectations are tempered, but this looks super similar to dino bones I’ve worked on while volunteering at a local university. I took pictures of all sides. It has a sort of a palmwood look on one side but there are some curves and a point that remind me of a bone. I’ve never found anything like it. It broke into 2 pieces despite my gentle handling as I pulled it out of the bank along the Trinity River not far from DFW airport in Irving Texas, where the woodbine and Eagleford meet. I hope I have something cool (non-mollusk) for once. Haha! Not far from this, I found some neat pyrite nodules that I haven’t seen before.

I found my 2nd ever ammonite in what I’m calling the Grayson formation, based on Mancos app showing solid Grayson, though it’s fairly close to the paw paw. Tarrant County, TX. I’m not well educated on Main Street though, so maybe that fits in here somewhere? Either way, I’ve been to this spot numerous times, lots of cymatoceras nautiloids and I got my biggest turrilites from this spot too. I was thrilled to find a 2 pound, 5.5 inch ammonite. I am GUESSING it might be mortoniceras parinflatum? If anyone can confirm or correct, much appreciated! I used the Kennedy paper on Grayson/Mainstreet cephalopods. I can’t wait to clean it up with air abrasive/air scribe to see what the center looks like.

Hello! I won an auction online to buy this ammonite someone found in a storage unit, they thought it was a snail! Any ideas on identification? The storage unit is in the USA but that doesn’t help with where it came from..I’m sorry but hopefully you understand the lack of information available given the background of how I acquired it. Madagascar is my first guess but I am ignorant on this topic and only know what I know! I don’t have it in my possession just yet.

Hello all, I posted a tooth yesterday that you kindly identified for me, and I have a few more fossils that I found that I would really appreciate an identification on. All found on Zandmotor beach, The Netherlands. There are four specimens: 1 A bone with a hole in the middle, seems like a vertebrae(??). Any idea what fragment it really is and maybe what kind of animal it came from? Length: 2.5 cm 2 A bone that I would also like any information about, although it might be really hard to identify. - 4 cm 3 Small, flatter bone. - 4.5 cm 4 Are these petrified wood by any chance? They do feel like a rock and also sound like such when I gently hit them with another rock. There are 3 pieces in total that I have shared. - around 6 cm.

I found this while sifting material from a known fossil brook in Monmouth County, New Jersey. I though it might be a tooth, but I am not sure. It is hollow and somewhat brittle. It was found in the brook. Thanks in advance for any help/ideas of what this could be!

Can anyone tell me what this is? It was found on East Beach on Galveston Island in Galveston, Texas. I find lots of shark teeth on this beach, but have no idea what this could be. *last two pics are just for size reference.

Hi everyone, My name is Tony. I'm from Northern Illinois. I've been collecting fossils for about 25 years. I've been watching for a long time and decided it was time to sign up. I would like some of your opinions on a cool claw I acquired from a reputable but not very knowledgeable dealer. I bought it as a Dromaeosaur. I think the primary thing that bothers me is the weight. It's 3" long (straight line) and only weighs 28 grams. Here are a few pics. I can't wait for every ones' opinion. Tony

Found these two near the peace river wondering if anyone could tell me what they are? I have some guesses but just wanted to make sure, the first I think is some kind of whale tooth and the second could be some kind of tusk but not sure.

Found this fossil in a creek during my last trip my guess is that its a whale tooth or some kind of tooth. But I was wondering if anyone knows what it is? Along with possibly how old it could be? I found it on a creek near the peace river.

One of my smaller slabs from a construction site in the Tarrant formation had a few interesting little fossils embedded that I can’t identify without trying to extract them. Any ideas? Or not a fossil? The Tarrant formation, south Tarrant County TX.
