Hello Everyone, I am so thankful for your insight. I have recently purchased a few books on Indian Artifacts and look forward to reading them so as to stop pestering. Anyway, In Florida on my own property I found several interesting and beautiful things after Irma. Our property on Marco took a direct hit and many of the trees on our property and the Seawall went into our garage. I ventured outside to see what I could find. Can someone please tell me if this is Fossilized Coral or Fossilized Bone? My brother thinks it is cement. I think its an animal skull, and my husband thinks it coral. In picture 4 there are several deep gouges or ciuts. I will be posting some other pictures of things I found in Florida and any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi I found this odd shaped rock and was wondering if it's possibly a fossilized bone or tooth of some kind. Does it look familiar to any of you? It's 2 1/2 inches long, limestone. I find petrified wood near where this was found so it makes me wonder if it's some kind of fossil. It is definitely shaped differently than most limestone rocks I find.

Hello, I was out walking for exercise during lockdown in the fields and found this egg like fossil on the surface. The farmer had been excavating topsoil from a ploughed field and using it to resurface a farm track. I have no idea what it is, could it possibly be a fossilized egg? I didn't realise finding stuff in fields was this exciting! Apoligies if the images are not up to standard. The outer material is red/orange, the inner material is dark grey Approx 2.8 CM Length, 2.1 CM Width, 1.3 CM Depth Thank You

Here is a fossilized plant, possibly the fruit of a plant a friend brought by and asked my opinion on its identification. I was leaning towards a cycad of some sort, but wasn't familiar with it. Any thoughts here? He doesn't know where he found it during the past 40 years of collecting, but it would have been in the U.S.A., unless he bought it along the way. Sorry about no scale - it is about 6 inches in length and about 3 1/2 inches wide. Thanks for any helpful hints.

Hey I was curious as to what this object I found while making a fence on my piece of land that I just bought in Southern California is. I’m not a fossil guy in fact I just created this account because I found this forum on google while researching about getting a fossil I’d.

I found this what I think to be a fossilized hickory nut that was partially eaten by some animal. I found it in northern Kentucky a couple miles from the Ohio river. If someone could help me out that would be great.

Found these 2 pieces of rock next to each other while beachcombing on Saltwick Bay, North Yorkshire. I believe they are bone because of the honey comb structure. Can anyone confirm whether the rocks are bone or just rock. Many thanks for any help with identification.....other photos to follow.

In our cottage in an island there are these big rocks that were dug up from the ground when we first built our house but there is one rock in particular that looks like it may have been underwater at some point and I sure am interested in the possibility of maybe finding some fossils, what's your opinion ?does it look like it may have been underwater? And could this area have fossils? Thanks

In my hunt to find things on my shoreline Ottertail county Minnesota on North Turtle Lake I have collected what I have been told by the University of Minnesota are bison bones. I broke my wrist collecting this spring so I have been reduced to looking over my finds and I noticed for the first time what looks like cut marks. I have also found various tools including a core rock. Does anyone know if these are marks made by a tool?

I came across this in the Puget Sound area (U.S. Pacific Northwest) along the water a few days ago. Wondering if anyone can shed some light on the specifics of what it is, and which era and period it might be from. Is this considered fossilized? It's fairly clean, but wondering what is the best way to clean it (toothbrush and warm soapy water?) Pardon my newbie knowledge on this-- just looking to learn. Thanks!

I was looking over some fossils in my collection, and can't remember where the heck I found this. I was thinking it is some type of whale tooth, but ..... it really doesn't look too much like the others I have found. I would greatly appreciate y'alls opinion. It is the lower item in the pictures. Thanks in advance

Hello, Yesterday during a day trip to McKinney Falls State Park, I found what looks to be some kind of fossilized tooth next to the Lower Falls swimming area. Would love to get an idea of what kind of fossil this could be! Amber

Hey guys, I was wondering if these two shells are fossils or just plain shells? A friend of mine found them just lying around a trail in Colorado covered up by dirt and rock. It's a miracle she even spotted them. I mean seashells in Colorado of all places? If they are fossils would anyone happen to know the species? Thanks in advance
