Hi everyone, I was at the Herkimer fossil and mineral show last week and had the chance to meet Allan Lang (owner of Langs quarry). I bought a couple of bugs off of him, but this one with the label "Old Mountain France" caught my eye. I'm not sure if it's a French trilobite or from somewhere else, but I'd appreciate any info or suggestions on what species it is. The segments in the middle were broken off, so I glued it back in place.

Hi there this little tooth is being advertised as a Nuthetes Destructor from the Dromeasauridae family Location: France - Champblanc / Cherves Size: 1.5cm I have my doubts about the ID as ND teeth are known for a depression in their crown (see below) although this tooth does have serrations. The person's reasoning for ID'ing the tooth is that the seller is a paleontologist ! 100% guaranteed. I don't really think that is a valid reason (a few months ago I may have said this was as I would take anybody's word for anything but now that I have been collecting teeth for less than a year I don't think it is!) Even paleontologists can get ID'ing wrong) Please let me know your thoughts, thanks everyone.

I’m wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on Spinosaurids in France? Is it possible that they were present in France? I’ve seen the subject show up a few times here before and was wondering what everyone’s thoughts were. Especially since Camarillasaurus has been confirmed a Spinosaurid, it helps support it as Camarillasaurus is the second species of Spinosaurid from Spain meaning they were clearly prevalent there, but it’s from Northeast Spain, not to far from France.

Hi again, I saw this tooth online and was wondering what you guys could make of it. The seller calls it a ‘Nuthetes’ tooth but from my knowledge Nuthetes has not been found in France. Something odd to me is the preservation, it just looks off for France. The seller has provided only one photo but a decent amount of information. Let me know what you think. I have here a tooth that a seller claims is from a French Meg. It's 2" in length. This is a reputable seller, but my concern is that I don't see a bourlette. Everything else adds up for me and that's the only concern I have. Does anyone else doubt that this is a Meg? Thank you, Bellamy

Hi all, I've got a sliced ammonite which I am unable to identity. All the seller could tell me was: It's from France. There's pyrite outlines and crystals in it. I didn't take a picture of the other side as it's nothing but a big chunk of grey rock.
