Hello, I picked this pebble up from the beach at Compton Bay on the Isle of Wight, this area is Lower Cretaceous. The pebble looks like it’s full of bony bits, but I have no idea what they might be from and it might prove too difficult to tell. If anyone has some insight I’d be delighted to hear it. Hi guys I found a lot of bone bits over the summer on the Isle of Wight, but here a few bits I think could potentially be identifiable (not to a species but to a location in the body) 1.has an articulation surface, part of a very maybe? 2. Very slender, rib I assume 3. Leg bone 4. Coprolite? 5. Looking at the holes in the bone, they remind me of a croc jaw ( though it isn’t one) 6. another one with articulating surface, end of a rib maybe? thanks for your help

Looks like we have a new dinosaur from the UK: Vectaerovenator inopinainopinatus The University of Southampton has confirmed that vertebrae discovered at Shanklin on the Isle of Wight in 2019 belong to a new species of Cretaceous era theropod. Believed to be up to 4m long, the dinosaur had notably hollow bones. "Chris Barker, a PhD student at the university who led the study, said: “We were struck by just how hollow this animal was — it’s riddled with air spaces. Parts of its skeleton must have been rather delicate"." Hi all! I'd be grateful if anyone could identify this bone fragment, which is allegedly the distal end of a small theropod femur according to the dealer. It comes from the Isle of Wight, the age is Lower Cretaceous and size: 2 cmtrs height. As you can see, the distal end is somewhat eroded and the bone is hollow. Thanks!

I recently bought a lot of 3 unidentified dinosaur "bones" from Isle Of Wight. But one of them have got me in a bit of a pickle. There's not really any cell structure present anywhere, except from one small spot that seems to have some. Which makes me suspect it's wood. But the overall structure of this piece is really puzzling, because it looks like there are sockets or roots from a jaw in it. I hope someone with more knowledge about IoW fossils can maybe explain what this is.

Hi all! Some time ago a friend of mine found what seems to be a turtle bone at Yaverland (Isle of Wight - UK) along with some eroded fish and crocodile remains. Honestly, we have no idea about this small isolated bone. We'd be very grateful if you could help us. Thanks in advance.
