It may be a weird request...........but a few weeks ago I found a rather nice shark tooth ,water was high, in a stream during a snow storm with 6 inches snow on the ground and very cold (didn't think i would find anything) and on this day my father had passed away, although fairly new to fossil hunting I always shared my journies with him and I'm trying to find somewhere I can send it to have gold plated in his memory as I cant find any info local.........does anyone know? thanks

Small bead like item, not sure what it is. Thought it was a modern seed pod initially, but it's mineralized. It's completely hollow. Lines are quarter inch squares

Hi from NJ. I've been fascinated by fossils since I was young. In the early 80s my grandparents moved from Brooklyn to a house in PA that was located within walking distance of an old mining operation. If we were lucky, we would get to walk through the abandoned landscape and pick up fossils. I still remember the orange of my first fern! Fast forward many years and here I am... Right now I comb beach areas and have plans to visit some of the more well known collecting sites in my area with my children. I find it amazing that sometimes, all you have to do is be present and have your eyes on to find a treasure. Happy hunting to all.

Took advantage of the mid-60's sunny forecast Saturday for a drive down to Ramanessin Brook in NJ. Nothing special, seemed to be mostly fragments and there were lots of footprints along the banks, but it was still enjoyable to be outside enjoying the winter reprieve. Tiny sawfish (Ischyrhiza mira) rostral tooth, front looks good, but back is busted up (scale = quarter inch squares) Tiny ammo fragment (front & back)

I've had this a while now but sort of dismissed it as a badly worn fish vert.. I haven't been able to find any evidence that seems to confirm it. In fact the closest match I find isn't supposed to be there.

Hi, Wanted to confirm my suspicions that this is a Hoploparia Gabbi (arm/claw) in matrix. (approx 2") There also seems to be other parts of same among the included matrix. Thanks.

Hi, Found this in the Brook recently when the weather was cooperating. Saved it thinking it had characteristics of an ammonite fragment, but I'm not sure. Any suggestions? (Cretaceous of New Jersey - several views of same item). Thanks.
