Sorry for the poor quality pics but my tooth is home and I'm offshore surrounded by live sharks . I normally only find large items such as Mosasaur, Plesiosaur verts etc so I was excited to find my first shark tooth at the NSR Texas. I know it's broken but can anyone ID it for me? By looking online my guess is Cretodus or Cretolamna but that's strictly a guess.

It pays to slow down at the North Sulphur River.
JarrodB posted a topic in General Fossil Discussion
My friend sent me this pic of his last hunting trip at the NSR Texas. He asked me what I spotted in the picture? He only collected the Native American point and didn't see the Ammontie until he was home posting his pics. Lol he was quite upset as I would have been. Slowing down is something I also need to work on.- 15 replies

Slow hunt but it was a nice day. I thought the larger piece was coprolite at first but I'm thinking it's a chunk of fish after looking at it closer. I can see little bones in it.

From the album: N Sulphur River Finds
I found this at the NSR and have no idea what it is...all I can verify is that it is bone. It's about the size of a baseball, which is by far the largest piece of bone I've run across since I've been going out there. I'm hoping that one of you more experienced folks can help me figure out what it is, or may be. Can't wait to get ya'lls input :-) Thanks, Mark -

I had a short but good hunt today at the North Sulphur River Texas. I found Cretaceous, Pleistocene and Middle Archaic items. NSR has it all.
