We got a donation at work of a lot of little finds from post oak creek Texas. I’m not familiar with the site at all and the labels for these appear to have gotten wet some time in the past. I looked at the book on Cretaceous sharks and rays of Texas and it made me more and more confused. Would love any help to get these relabeled. If not, they’ll sit for a decade, be thrown out or given away here are my really unsure ideas- 1. Texatrygon sp. or ptychodus sp. 2. Pseudocorax sp. 3. Not enough there ? 4. Not enough there ? 5. Goblin ? 6. Carcharias sp. 7. Carcharias sp. 8. Carcharias sp. 9. Not positive enough to guess 10. Carcharias sp. 11. Hybodus sp. 12. Not enough there ? 13. Ptychodus sp. 14. Too broken ? 15. Ptychodus sp. 16. Too broken ? 17. Fish tooth? 18. Enchodus tooth 19. Drum tooth? Not a vert. The bottom is flat and shiny 20. Small fish tooth 21. Slag? Super shiny in person 22. Stumped here. Bone? Coprolite? Straight shelled cephalopod? Just rocks ?

Hi everyone! It’s been a while, but I finally made it back out fossil hunting! Missed being here! Here are a few of my pickings from Memorial Day on Post Oak Creek in Sherman, Texas. As you can see there are lot of small shark teeth. Most are broken unfortunately. The large piece is a mystery. At first glance it looks similar to the mammoth enamel I have found in the past, but what do you all think??? It has a smooth surface on one side, and a slightly pitted surface on the other. Worn by the elements and/or stained? I can’t tell what this is. There are a few smaller unidentifiable pieces, too. One has what appears to be two triangular shapes on top of each other. No clue! The other small piece has the appearance of (bone?), but the feel of rock. The large black piece? Flint maybe? Any help would be appreciated!

I went to Post Oak Creek in Sherman, Texas today, and I found quite a good mix. A few of the teeth were a bit unusual. In the 4th photo I have a few questions. On the top row, second tooth from the right, is that a rodent tooth? Then (4th picture) second tooth from the right, that one has a strange “hook to it”. Also, second row, third from the right. Anyone know what those are? Thanks in advance!

I found this in the water at Post Oak Creek in Sherman Texas. It’s very small, but it seems to have a couple of different things attached to each other. One looks like a rudist??? I don’t know what is attached to the side with the line of circles though. I just thought it was an unusual looking little fossil. Any ideas of what this might be?

I took a trip up to Sherman, Texas today to sift around the Post Oak Creek. Here are my finds. A few good teeth and fish vertebrae, but mostly bits and pieces and tiny teeth. Do any of you know what the white tooth at the top of the group picture might be? I included a close up. Also the black tooth (?) to the right of the white one. Closeups as well. Thanks in advance!!!

This one is baffling me. I found it in Post Oak Creek, Sherman Texas. It's about 3/4 inches long and the top is somewhat bony, The triangular part is smooth with a glossy white coating.
