Skye Find: Is This A Fossilised Bone? If So, Any Ideas What It Might Belong To?
sophieskye posted a topic in Fossil ID
Found this rock on a beach near Staffin in the Isle of Skye this weekend. It has what appears to be a small bone embedded in it, however I don't know if it actually is or what it might belong to. Also, this was my first time fossil hunting, so I would appreciate any information about who/where I should take it to if people think it might be worth someone with a bit of professional fossil knowledge looking at it! All thoughts/ideas welcome as I'm keen to find out anything I can about it.
