    Fossil or just odd stone

They're building a new highway and I found this where they had just dug up. Could this be a fossil or just an interesting stone created by nature. Hopefully you don't mind helping.
  2. Found at Sandy Hook in the Atlantic Highlands area on a bay side beach.. any thoughts? I haven't done the tongue test, but it does seem to 'stick' to a damp finger.
  3. I found this on the shore of lake Ontario in youngstown new york. I was wanting to know what these white marks are. One looks like a tooth and a couple others look like spoons. On another rock is a small heart. Thank you in advanced for your insight

    curious stone, or fossil?

Hello. I found this some time ago, in an outcrop, of the Upper Cretaceous (Cenomanian). some fragments of belemnite, which seems to me a poorly preserved hedgehog radiola, a solitary coral, (it may be a kind of placosmilia). and a curiously shaped stone, which has me puzzled, and I would like to know what it is. sorry for the photos, but I don't have a good tool to make them better.
  6. Hello, I found this on a walk along the Thames in London. It caught my attention due to the unusual shape. Can someone tell me if it is a bone or just a stone? It is not as heavy as one would expect a stone to be but I am not an expert. Many thanks, Fiona

Weird stone found in North Spain

Hi, This is my first post, so I hope I follow all the guidelines... If not, please let me know! This stone was found recently in North Spain, in Leon, near the village of La Magdalena. It was in the top of a mountain, surrounded by marine fossils. I have no idea if it is a stone or a fossil but it is a very weird stone. If you have any idea of what it could be, just let me know! Thank you.
