    Ammonite ID help

Hi all. Both ammonites found in Bristol, UK, BS31, as we're the shells and coral. Not much else to say but would be nice to get a bit more info from the pros?

    Shark tooth id

I found this tooth at highcliffe in the uk, so it is eocene in age. I have no idea what it is from so I would love some help. Thank you
  3. I had recently made a visit to Besom Hill, Old Ham, Manchester, UK for the spectacular remains of carboniferous fossils such as calamities, gastrioceras, and many more. Although I found some strange impressions in the shales (Listeri Marine band) and wished to get some idea on what it might be. It appears as an impression on the dark shale, has a sort of 3D impression on bottom and top. The pattern is lines radiating in a parallel manner, with slight but observable curvature. Surface is not flat, rather slightly wavy. First impression was possibly burrows, but probably not. Would it be some sort of shell or plant impression instead? Another specimen follows along as a cylinder.

    UK South Coast

My son brought this home from the beach in western Dorset, England. He wasn't even looking for/expecting fossils, but am I right in thinking those "worms" are fossils? And is the flat textured area anything of note (it looks sort of skin like)? Thanks!
  6. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can help identifying the piece below. As far as I’m aware it was found by a family member in the uk along side several ammonites but unfortunately that’s all I know. Sorry if this is an obvious question I’m new to this 👍🏻
  7. Hello! I’m a complete fossil newbie, but after a recent trip near Cromer, Norfolk UK I have built an interest! My son found this on the beach, and am wondering if it’s a fossil or just a nothing bit of stone! Any help would be much appreciated. Please and thank you

    Fossilised bone

Hiya, First time posting….. We went for a family fossil walk this weekend along Barton-on-sea beach, Hampshire, UK. Among the fossilised shark teeth and shells my daughter also picked this out of the sand. I was thinking it is a fossilised meta-tarsal or phalange bone, looks like iron pyrite, but no idea what from? Hoping someone on here can lead me in the right direction. Thanks Vikki
