Pachycephalosaurus skull fragment, also known as Pachy spike cluster, from Hell Creek Formation of Carter County, Montana. I was surprised by its weight and size when I received it. Slightly bigger than 2.5 inches diameter.

Newbie exploration of Pennsylvania and surrounding states
Shale_stack posted a topic in Fossil Hunting Trips
Super new to the world of fossils with no formal education. Currently looking for locations near Berks county Pennsylvania or within 2-3 hours. Up to 6 is okay too but it’s a bit far. Feel free to PM me. I’m feeling frustrated not knowing much.- 12 replies

Hey all, I just purchased this fossil over the weekend. The person I purchased form had this documentation: Calymene celebra Sil-Waldron Sh. Hartsville, In. Let's assume locality and age are correct, can anyone confirm if this is a Calymene celebra? My gut is telling me a Calymene breviceps but I am new to Calymene trilobites. Specimen is roughly 2.75 cm wide and estimated 6.25 cm if prone Also while we are talking about Calymene trilobites is there any good resources anyone knows of for IDing them? I have some more that I would like an ID on. Any input is welcome!

I found this in St. Clair county, Alabama. The area is near strip mines, so this may have come from tailings. I think it was uncovered when I dug a pool several years ago, but just recently found it. Thanks for any help!
