Cancellous Fossilized bone?

I had this in my rock collection for quite some time. I must have thought it was a nice chunk of obsidian, years ago. I was going through my rocks with my son and found myself questioning whether this could be fossilized cancellous bone. Any insights would be most appreciated.

You have a nice piece of volcanic glass. The solid part with conchoidal fracture is obsidian. The vuggy areas (cancellous) are pumice. Gases in the lava caused some of the obsidian to froth up and create pumice.

Thank you very much! This is a very cool rock, and I will be able to use this additional information to keep my son's interest as well as my own growing.
