Hi everyone,

I recently bought this 'Triceratops' vert from Hell Creek online. But on receiving it, I have doubts. I might consider it to be an Edmontosaurus vert. It is not that heart shaped and thicker than a Ceratopsian I figure. What are your thoughts?

Dimensions: 12,5cm (h), 9cm (w), 7cm (d) - weight +/- 700 grams

More pics needed?

Thank you!

It does look more hadrosaurian than ceratopsian.

Here are some illustrations of Triceratops dorsals you can compare against.   Agree loks more like Edmontosaurus.

Yeah, the only hadrosaur species that's been described is Edmontosaurus annectens. But there have been some rare hints that there might also have been a lambeosaurine hadrosaur in the area.

But if it's hardosaur from Hell Creek 99.9% sure that it's Edmontosaurus annectens.

Right, I'll go for 99.9% then. Thanx for the info. This is a superb forum. I was tipped to come here on fossiel.net
