Item found on Thames river bank in London

Hello,
I found this on a walk along the Thames in London. It caught my attention due to the unusual shape. Can someone tell me if it is a bone or just a stone?
It is not as heavy as one would expect a stone to be but I am not an expert.
Many thanks,
Fiona

Welcome to the Forum. :)

Unfortunately, I think this is a suggestively shaped piece of flint, or chert.

The conchoidal fractures are there but they are weathered/polished. I agree with Tim about a flint nodule.
