My Utah Fossil Collection

Recommended Posts

Here's my contribution to this somewhat empty forum.

All but one (the red one in the top row centre) of the fossils are from Millard County, Utah and were from fossil sets that I got years ago.

The red one is from near Kamas and was bought from a rock and gem show.

From top left to bottom right: crinoid stem, horn corals (a red and grey one), trilobites; a Peronopsis interstricta and two Elrathia kingi (or make that four-and-a-half if you count the little ones on the 'big' ones).

Awesome finds! Do you have a good place to find the coral?

I'm going to try to make it out to find some soon. I went out for wonder stone yesterday and today I'm going back to look for jet. I've also found some excellent agate pseudomorph barite (I always forget the name).
