Dear Guys,

I recently found one scapula fragment of big ungulate in Varena town, South Lithuania. It is 16,5 cm length and 6,5 cm width in the articular part (the joint is incomplete!)

Please help me to decide which big ungulate it belongs to. :)

Any help will be appreciated!

Best Regards

Domas

Here's an example of a woolly rhino scapula from my collection. Though it's also not complete, it might help with identification. Horse has a much more slenderly built scapula than rhino. And I'm not as familiar with that of bovids.

Thank you very much LordTrilobite, if it is rhino then the bone belong to ice age for sure! :)

What do you think- you vote for rhino?

I would like to hear more opinions... :)

Best Regards
