Amber Fluid Neutral
Hi, I have what seems to be a female scale insect acarii(?) that still seems to have unfertilized/ stillborn young in a couple of sacks. 2nd photo, the pebble like things in the center of the body. The first photo is the famous specimen in the earlier stage of brooding. My specimen may be a late stage one. What do you make of it?
Amber Man
I think that is Icerya Purchasi with young...not just your typical scale insect. More rare than that. Nice!
abyssunder
Was Icerya purchasi described in Burmese amber? " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way.
