ClearLake Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Yes, it is a trilobite even though the preparation seems to leave a bit to be desired. Looks like one of the Odontopleurid types (like Dicranurus or Ceratonurus), maybe from Morocco, but I am not that familiar with the specific ones. I'm sure someone more familiar with this (like @piranha) will be along before too long for a more positive ID.
RuMert Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Is it genuine? Doesn't look exactly so to me. Maybe I'm too ignorant on the subject My sites & reports
Huntonia Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Definitely a morroccan Ceratarges. Pretty rough prep but a genuine fossil from an awesome trilobite genus. Up close focused pictures from more angles and in brighter lighting (and probably a pair of eyes better than mine to be honest) would be necessary to narrow it down to a specific species.
