Pearl Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Found these in the creek that I frequent and need an ID
goatinformationist Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Could you provide a little more site information please?
Misha Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Left is a rhynchonellid brachiopod, right is some kind of coral, hard to tell anything else without more info.
Pearl Posted January 22, 2020 Author Posted January 22, 2020 These were found in a creek bed in Greene Co. Alabama where I frequently find goblin and crow shark teeth. There are a lot of worm tubes and coral, among other things, and I recently found a mosasaur vertebrae. Located in the Eutaw Formation of the cretaceous period. It's a great place to go. Let me know if you need other details. Thanks
erose Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 I agree with brachiopod (nice!) and button coral. The middle object IMHO appears to be just a worn oyster fragment.
Plax Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 fossil on far right looks a bit like Micrabacia.
Pearl Posted January 22, 2020 Author Posted January 22, 2020 Awesome! Thank you for your input as I am new to this but find it very interesting. I go out every chance I get and it was 27 degrees last Sunday! Lol
