gturner333 Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 I found this in some matrix I brought back from the Aguja formation in Brewster county, Texas. I makes me think of a tooth, a little like an ankylosaurus tooth. Any thoughts? The hash marks are 1mm. Thanks for any help. 2
Troodon Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 Its a mammal tooth, Cimolodon cf. electus. Nice tooth Publication is in photo 6
jpc Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 lower fourth premolar of a mammal called a multituberculate. I don't know if Cymolodon is the only 'multi' in the Aguja, but troodon's link is spot on. In any case... great find. I only have a few of these from our local late Cretaceous Lance Fm. And that is not form lack of searching. 1
