We were in the creek today and found this Chesapecten Shell that is still closed. We’ve never found one of these with both sides, unopened. Can anyone ID the type of Chesapecten? Is it Madisonious? Thank You!

I also can't help with id, but that sure is a nice shell. And the gastropod block is also great!

That is a very nice specimen you have. Can you be more specific with the creek that you were in? The age of the sediments will help with narrowing the ID of the shell.

The turitella look like part of the Aquia formation, though.... much older.
