hokietech96 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Went on my first hunt at the Potomac River on Wednesday. It was great weather and had a blast. It was high tide but was able to get a productive 2.5 hours in before I headed back to NJ. I was fortunate enough to meet another TFF member in the parking lot Bjohn170. Still have to go through and ID everything but enjoy the pics. 2

The Jersey Devil Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Awesome haul especially for your first time there 1 “You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5, and the path leading out is only wide enough for one.” ― Mikhail Tal
Darktooth Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 You did well! Your sharktooth collection is certainly getting bigger and better! 1 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
FossilsAnonymous Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Absolutely beautiful Jakelotodus Robustus! Great Hunt! 1 On The Hunt For The Trophy Otodus!

FossilsAnonymous Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 @hokietech96 you may be right. It is to my knowledge that these teeth are quite uncommon in this formation, and there is a certain form of Jaelekototus that looks similar to yours. This is my mistake. Jaelekototus has much more of a hook to the blade than the one that I circled. If it is Paleohypotodus, that would be an even better find than Jaelekototus. On The Hunt For The Trophy Otodus!
Miocene_Mason Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 Nice, love the cretalamna. Happy hunting, Mason
