PaleoBri
Hey guys, I just joined the site recently. I’m an artist and I’m gonna be working on some new emoticons for TFF! If anyone has suggestions for what they’d like to see, please let me know in the comments here and I will take them into consideration. Here are some examples of a few I have already made for fun: Thanks for your input! 1 20
Mikrogeophagus
Might be hard to make with limited pixel space, but I notice a distinct lack of marine reptiles in our emotes . I like the art you've made so far! Especially the nautilus

We could use some marine reptile on here Things like mosasaur, pliosaur, ichthyosaur and plesiosaur/elasmosaur 'There's nothing like millions of years of really frustrating trial and error to give a species moral fibre and, in some cases, backbone' -- Terry Pratchett

Tidgy's Dad
Very nice! How about the living fossil, the inarticulate brachiopod Lingula, please? 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

Misha
These are awesome! I think TFF could certainly use a Tiktaalik or some other iconic Sarcopterygian emoticon

Top Trilo
Somehow the forum doesn't have a Triceratops emoticon. Triceratops is synonymous with paleontology to many! 1 “If fossils are not "boggling" your mind then you are simply not doing it right” -Ken (digit) "No fossil is garbage, it´s just not completely preserved” -Franz (FranzBernhard) "With hammer in hand, the open horizon of time, and dear friends by my side, what can we not accomplish together?" -Kane (Kane) "We are in a way conquering time, reuniting members of a long lost family" -Quincy (Opabinia Blues) "I loved reading the trip reports, I loved the sharing, I loved the educational aspect, I loved the humor. It felt like home. It still does" -Mike (Pagurus) “The best deal I ever got was getting accepted as a member on The Fossil Forum. Not only got an invaluable pool of knowledge, but gained a loving family as well.” -Doren (caldigger) "it really is nice, to visit the oasis that is TFF" -Tim (fossildude19) "Life's Good! -Adam (Tidgy's Dad)
PaleoBri
These are great suggestions, thank you! @Tidgy's Dad I will see what I can do, that particular brachiopod may be a bit too nondescript for most people to know what it is in such a small form. But I definitely should make some kind of brachiopod!

But I definitely should make some kind of brachiopod! Thank you. There is already a spiriferid which I use often. And I think a lingulid, strophomenid, or a terebratulid would get a lot more use than a Tiktaalik, lovely as it is, as it doesn't crop up often on the forum. I think both are good ideas, I’m gonna make lots of these so how much one is used over another isn’t an issue. I think I can work with a strophomenid or a terebratulid!

Mahnmut
Hi and welcome to the forum! I normally do not care much for pixel-art because its natures fine detail that fascinates me. But I really like your icons! Making the best of a very limited medium has something of a graphic haiku, now that I think about it. Some time ago, a TFF member called out to pixel artists: http://www.thefossilforum.com/index.php?/topic/122825-calling-all-paleo-pixel-artists/ best regards, J Try to learn something about everything and everything about something Thomas Henry Huxley
