I created my first fridge magnets long time ago, but desided reintroduce myself to that again. I mostly did modern animals like lizards and sharks, but also some paleo ones. I have been trying to improve them from basic ones long time ago.

I also tried to make large one, but it was harder than I tought, because I needed to make it strong enough and figure attachment points.

Nice, a basilosaurid...

can you drybrush it with "a whiter shade of pale?"

What are they made of anyway? The last T-Rex almost looks like wood. Very nice!

Best regards,

J

I think there is no reason why it could not be. I actually did tone it bit darker with thin layer of burnt sienna from ochre. But I did not dare to add more layers. I have mostly used watered paint to create tones or highlight grooves.

These are all made from polymer based clay.

Now I remember that I had one smaller and simpler one made from bronze and polymer prototype. These two are non magnetic.

Thanks for the info!

So the right one is a bronze-style polymer clay or real bronze? looks good anyway!

I think I misunderstood your last post, I thought it turned out less pale than you intended, therefore I suggested drybrushing it.

Cheers,

J

Aa..okey. 🙂

Right one is real bronze, made from bronze clay that turn to bronze after burning. But its harder to work with so I changed to polymer.
