Jaybot Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Is there enamel? If not, my vote is a flint core -Jay Aspiring Naturalist “The earth doesn't need new continents, but new men.” ― Jules Verne, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea
blackdanter Posted June 19 Posted June 19 It does look like a tooth but also a flint core. I've seen very similar flint cores in the UK. People always assume that they are prehistoric but that isn't necessarily the case as small flint cores were carried and in use into the early Victorian times. My own Great Grandfather always carried a similar one for fire lighting purposes. 1
Fossildude19 Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Better pictures of all sides, in daylight, are needed. The photos provided are too small.
