Cretaceous Bone ID

This bone was found in a Cretaceous deposit east of San Antonio, New Mexico. It's symmetrical and reminds me of something that may belong in a joint. I am looking for an ID as I have no reference for what animal species or body part this may have come from. I can get different camera angles if it would be helpful.

This isn't a bone. It is a tooth of a shell crushing shark, Ptychodus.

If you post a clear, close up photo of the crushing surface (with all the wrinkles), someone on here may be able to identify the exact species for you.

It looks partially digested. @locutus9 can you take a different angle picture of the top of it showing all the visible ridges. It is not identifiable with current pictures.

Here are some clearer pictures. The digestion theory is intriguing, given the wear on the tooth. Thank you all for commenting!

Thanks @locutus9 for the picture. Definitely Ptychodus but too difficult to tell the species. Sorry.
