Fossildude19
Doesn't look like bone to me. @Jared C @Mikrogeophagus @JohnJ 3 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." rockinout
In person, it looks to me like the ball portion of a ball and socket joint. It definitely is a round ball-shape attached to a smaller diameter part that looks like a portion of a rounded shaft. I suppose it could be part of a plant. It has been replaced by silica and I don’t see any internal features, such as pores or grain.
patelinho7
Not bone, possibly a coprolite but more likely a concretion.
Cortash
Looks a lot like concretion to me Depending on where it was found, you might find a fossil inside the concretion once broken, which is done by freeze-thawing the stone (soak in water for a day, put in the freezer until completely frozen, let the concretion thaw for some time; repeat until small cracks form on the side)
Fossildude19
I'm getting a chert nodule vibe from this.
