Ludwigia
My guess would be a piece of industrial slag. A lot of stuff from elsewhere gets washed up on coastal beaches which has been carried along by tides and currents. Certainly not a meteorite. 1 1 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Al Dente
I think these are pholad clam burrows in a piece of phosphatic rock. 1

The rounded bottoms on these are very distinctive of pholad borings. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pholad_borings Could just be boring into phosphatic matrix or there is a slight possibility that this might be a piece of fossilized bone (there faintly appears to be what might be striated texture of bone material). We often find dugong rib bones riddled with these borings in the Peace River. Cheers. -Ken

I would revise my first statement and go along with this. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
