New Members Matt2000 Posted August 17 New Members Share Posted August 17 Hi folks, I've been thinking about getting a Keichousaurus fossil for a long time now. I know how many badly prepared and "restored" specimens are on the market, that was also the reason why I hesitated for a long time. Now I have found what I think is a very nice specimen and would like to buy it. I'm no expert but I couldn't find any air bubbles or paint. The fossil has a 3D look to it and seems to be relatively well prepared. The seller also sent me 2 pictures showing the fossil before it was prepared. I would be very grateful for your opinions as to whether it is genuine or not.

TriVeratops
I’ve been watching that one for a while. I think it’s real and I think you should buy it so I won’t be tempted by it anymore
Brevicollis
Wow, a real, sandblasted one ! When prepared with a grinder, the bones lose their original shape and become flat, but on sandblasted ones, the bones hold their original shape, and the final result turns out completly 3d and gorgeus ! My account and something about me : My still growing collection : My paleoart : I'm just a young guy who really loves fossils
