M3gal0don_M4n
Hello! Someone I know sent a video and photo of a “dinosaur egg” his grandfather found. Personally I am sceptical on it, and I believe it to be little more than a rock, but I promised I would post it. Exact formation is unknown but he said he is 95% sure it was found in Victoria, Australia. cm-chat-media-video-1:14a940c3-4e91-5eb5-97a5-e3ed7438813d:182:0:0.mov Edited August 31 by M3gal0don_M4n “Deep words go here”- Me, 3/9/
Kohler Palaeontology
There are a couple of dinosaur sites in Victoria that date to the early cretaceous. However, I don't think eggs or eggshells have been found at either of those sites. Kind Regards, Kohler Palaeontology.
Kohler Palaeontology
Personally, I do not see any egg features here, but others might say otherwise. The dino sites from Victoria have different coloured rocks too. there is a great thread on identifying fossil eggs on this forum, I suggest you check it out. Fossildude19
It's not an egg. It's a concretion. No eggshell texture - the rind or "shell" would be much too thick for anything to break through without a jackhammer. Concretions are commonly mistaken for eggs. 3 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Rockwood
I agree that it's not an egg. It looks as if it could be the result of weathering in a plutonic rock to me though. It's hard to tell for certain.

Then again, I am unsure if he has proper tools as neither are particularly fossil interested. “Deep words go here”- Me, 3/9/
