RJB Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Some of you have already seen part of this fish. I did most of the prep while this was still in pieces cause of the size of this slab. Plus it would have been quite heavy if I had put it together before any prep. Here you see this MONSTER 26 inch fossil fish from Lebanon I call "The Torpedo" being glued back together in what I call "The 5 bar clamper gluing the fish back together in one piece trick". Yep, another trick from Get Smart. I took a heck of a lot of video of prepping this fish so far and am not sure how I am going to tackle the video? It may be a 3 parter? I might do that plus a shortened version? No matter what I do there is gunna be a lot of video on the editing floor. But really, this is one of the most amazing fossil fishes I have ever had the privilege of working on. This one will eventually be framed and hanging on one of our walls. RB 6

RB But the fossils you uncover require skill and artistry, to be made to look as good as you make them look, Ron. I think it's artistry, at the very least. I also learn something just about every time I watch one of your videos. You are a prepping master! 3 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." You call it what you want Tim. I'm just a simple man who likes to play with rocks. But thank you for the compliment RB 1
