Brevicollis

Hello, I saw this little tooth from the Oxford clay formation. Its offered as Steneosaurus, but I wanted to ask if there could be a chance if it could be a small Pliosaur tooth.

 

Its 19mm in length.

You can see that clear and distinct carinae (cutting edge) on the tooth indicating it is a croc and not a pliosaur or other non-croc Jurassic marine reptiles.

I agree. This is a teleosaurid marine crocodile for the clear carinae and fact that the well-defined striae stop short of running into it.
