Bison Skull Kansas

Found my first bison skull today, measures right at 30 inch from horn to horn. Took a minute to get it out of the water and carry it back to the truck, weighed a ton. Also found a few other items. Hope you guys enjoy

Congratulations on a great find....  What is the size of the blue  Lobster ?  Crayfish ?

Yep, we call them 'Crawdads' here :)

They can range in size quite a bit.  I've seen them from 2 cm all the way up to ~12 cm.

WOW what a dream find!  30 inches.... That's pretty big!  At that size it's either a big Bison bison or a Bison occidentalis (I think B. priscus is synonymous with B. occidentalis).  I have yet to find a bison skull, it's one of those finds we all dream about I think.

I agree with crawdad, but he was big, about 5in long

Very very cool!  Any chance we can see occlusal views of the teeth-- upper and lower?
