Brevicollis
Hello dear Forum members, I just saw this mosasaur tooth, I suspect Prognathodon solvayi, or Mosasaurus beaugei, with some weird faceting on the anterior side, wich I'm not sure about if it could be an auxiliary carina, wich could make this tooth a Stelladens mysteriosus. I know that its hard to tell from those pictures, but I hope you guys can see more than me on them. Sice : 2,8 cm crown, complete tooth is 6cm. Thanks for any help @pachy-pleuro-whatnot-odon, @Praefectus, @jnoun11, @North Edited September 9 by Brevicollis 1 My account and something about me : My still growing collection : My paleoart : I'm just a young guy who really loves fossils
pachy-pleuro-whatnot-odon
The tooth appears to have a subequal cross-section, so can't be Mosasaurus. Hence, I'd agree, Prognathodon cf. solvayi. 1 'There's nothing like millions of years of really frustrating trial and error to give a species moral fibre and, in some cases, backbone' -- Terry Pratchett
North
Is there any pictures from front/back view? There's no such thing as too many teeth.
