found: loose beach rock

units: metric

own ID: looks like a crinoid fragment maybe of a stem(?) but id like confirmation from others before definitively categorizing it since its the first one of this type ive found. additional details are always welcome

Perhaps a mold of a columnal. It doesn't look like the actual stem though.

but definitely a crinoid in some way shape or form?

I wouldn't go that far. Wait for more opinions though.

Crinoid stems don't normally fossilize in a tight curve like this. I suspect it's something else, but I don't recognize what it may be.
