Hello,

I was looking to purchase a Baltic amber from some guy on the web but I was wondering if the stone had a mosquito inclusion or some other species ?
Looks rather big for a mosquito, the stone is 4cm in length.

Cheers

Probably it's some kind of fungus gnat and not a mosquito. But obviously a better picture would help.

I agree with fungus gnat. They are often mistaken for mosquitos or called mosquitos in amber. Easy way to tell is look at the proboscis. No proboscis equals no mosquito

Thanks for the replies. That's what I thought, some sorts of fly.
Still love it <3
