Shaped like a seed. Plant fossil maybe?

Found on beach in Myrtle, looks like an almond seed or something similar. It is symmetrical and has a center line on both side.

Nope. That's an animal. This is a cast of the inside of a bivalve mollusk. Otherwise known as a steinkern.

I can see steinkern and was wondering about it maybe being another of the dreaded tilly bones as well. I think I see a boney pattern in the end view...maybe its something else or a an artifact created by zooming in...

Let me see if I have a similar photo from my crazy collection...

It is an odd texture for a steinkern.
