Dave J
Hi. This brachiopod was found at the Wren's Nest, Dudley, UK. It doesn't have prominent ribbing on the valves like others I've found and it seems very distended on the one side. The domed side is quite smooth. I have tried to photograph it with the hinge face on too to give an idea of it's shape. I was hoping for a species name if possible?

Such a well studied site should have some scientific papers that have been written about it. Maybe a faunal list. You might search for them at the usual sites - Research Gate, J-stor, Google books, etc. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
