I think phosphate nodule is more likely.

A stone..., might be a claw, might be a phosphate nodule, might be a flint...

@5iveskill: could you please give us more informations about your find? Where was it found? Could you show more views from it? thanks a lot!

This is why multiple angles for pictures are helpful. Zoom in on the lower left and lower center and there are pretty telltale signs of a decapod claw that I also almost missed. More pictures might help those who know their decapods.

I think it is a claw.  I see enough texture, esp on the right edge of Tim's brightened photo.  BUt yes, more pix and where is it from would be helpful.
