New Members kenzieoutside Posted November 5 New Members Posted November 5 I am a bit stumped and perplexed by what I've got going on here. Been hunting the same site nightly for a few months now and always find a variety of this fossil. Most chunks are about the size of what you see here, but I do have two pieces that are about the size of my fist and hollow inside. The area I hunt is a very obvious coral bed with a lot of calcified and agatized fossils. Other than coral, I've only found invertebrates, including many types of shells, bivalves, and some crab parts including arms and claws. All coming out of ocala limestone region. Thanks in advance for your help / guidance!
Rockwood Posted November 5 Posted November 5 The zoom on these is a bit shocking, but once I adjust, these look like oolites to me.
Fossildude19 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Your pictures are EXTREMELY large. Please try to resize them, and crop the photos to only include the fossils. 16MB is a bit to big. 2-3 MB is better.
